Since Frederick county is so close to WVA do you all have the address of the WVA online death, marriage and birth index. You can also print out some of the records they have. All years and all counties are not there but they have a lot..If you all are interested let me know and I'll go get the address and post it.

Sanford BARTLETT, probably remarried several years before he died in 1817. He was War 1812 Veteran. Any BARTLETTs - there are three BARTLETT lines from Frederick Co, VA. Some used variant spellings BARKLEY and BERKLEY. Also would like to communicate with other researchers of this family. I believe Benjamin may have been born in 1766 in Frederick Co. Virginia. He married Nancy Ann Nottingham 24 December 1789 in Frederick Co. I next find him in Jefferson Co. Ohio abt 1800-1810, and then he was a founder of Olivesburg, Richland Co. Ohio in 1816, naming the town after his daughter Olive. Benjamin and Nancy had 9 children that I know of, and lived the rest of their lives out in Richland Co. Ohio.Benjamin died 1841 and Nancy died 1866. I have alot of research on their children, especially his son Jacob who married Grace Ferrell abt 1813. My John Henry(Henry)Piper 1776-1831 m. Eizabeth Sampsell 1801 Frederick Co., VA. According to 1820-30 Census records Margaret Ann could fit this family. Sons were John, Joseph, David. Henry is bur. in Old Lutheran Cem., Stephen City, Fred. Co., VA ALONG WITH Nicholaus Samfsel 1749-1817 and Anne Samsel d. 1827 at 76 years of age. Would love to share info.
