Henry & Elizabeth were living then in Johnson Co. Ind and are on the 1840 and 1850 census there. Henry was the brother-in-law of one of my husband's relatives, Paul Herbert/Harbert/Harbourt. Paul married Margaret Keneaster (spelled Canister on some VA records - boy these people really when phonetic!). Paul was born abt 1785 in Berkeley Co VA, son of Peter Herbert b. 1744 Monmouth Co. NJ. John Herbert was Paul's brother, likely the John who was the bondsman on the deed. Paul and Henry bought property together in early 1820's in Jefferson Co (maybe Shelby) KY from James Bartlett. Paul & Margaret moved to Johnson Co. IN in 1827 to help found a new Baptist Church there - Mt. Pleasant. Henry & elizabeth must have moved soon after. Note also that on the 1810 US Census of Frederick Co. VA, Winchester, there was a Hann! ah Kenester age 26-45 with 1 son age 16-26 (could be Henry) and one daughter 0-10. Nearby was John Keneaster, age 16-26, wife? or female age 10-16, and 1 male 0-10. Next door to him was George M. Fry age 45+ and family. There is a George Fry Herbert b. 1817 who marries Elizabeth McCormick in winchester in 1837. they move to Oregon, going via Oregon trail. on the 1860 census in Oregaon, their next door neighbor is William Moreland, b. VA. I am trying to figure out if George Fry Herbert is Paul's son or one of his brother's sons. Paul had brothers John, Thomas and Peter. [Thomas is not the father of George, he had one son, Wilson]. If you find any more connections with Herberts/Harbourts, please let me know. My husband descends from Israel Harbourt (his gravestone says Herbert ) who is a son of either Peter or John, one of Paul's brothers.

VA to Samuel Bonham. She was the daughter of Daniel & Catherine Sowers Sr. She named in her mother's will 29 Dec 1838. Daniel was the son of Jacob Sowers Sr. I have compiled my notes on the Sowers family. A copy can be viewed on file through L.D.S. library. My cousin Michael L. It's main focus is to compare the DNA of WV an VA lines and possibly with older lines of Immigrant ancestors. DNA tests until now had certain limiations but a new test is just coming out which increases the ability of the test to differnetiate in a time period when most of us know our lins back 150 years. I can obtain a reduced price for a short period of time perhaps just this week or next or end of month. Direct line Swisher/Switzer males are the only ones who can provide samples. Others who are interested can help by possibly providing donations to cover costs of tests. If anyone is itnerestd in assisting in co-ordinating testing of their direct line or supporting the project to being tested please contact me. General questions about how DNA works can be easily found on the itnerenet with the companies that provide the service.

Reproduction fees are necessarily based on the number of exposures needed to cover an entire item.
