Robert Rankins). 2. Betsey Calmes, husband's name not given 3. Joseph Berry living in KY. wife not mentioned nor the names of his children. He living in Licking, Mason Co.KY. 4. I am trying to focus on VA and KY right now. If I start looking at other states, it will make me crazy :) The way I am trying to approach my research is to establish a basic migration pattern. I THINK my Wilson line was in NJ first, then they went down To Frederick, VA (and were there when Berkeley County was formed). A number of these Wilson relatives moved up to Western PA (Washington County) and then down to Fayette/Bourbon Counties in KY. However, some stayed in VA. After Clark County, KY was formed, they basically scattered to the four winds, with some moving on to Ohio (i.e., Jacob Wilson, mentioned in my other post) and other counties in KY (Montgomery, Bath, Nicholas and Owen, that I know of). My line moved on to Putnam County, IN and ended up in Montgomery County, IN (Ladoga, IN). Lots of other Wilsons in PA, OH, the Carolinas and TN, I am sure! Once I fully understand the initial migration pattern of my line, I will see how my Wilsons connect to those in other states. Thanks again for your response. Rob

Sorry, I do not have any information about Athens Territory. But I am very interested to know the names of the three Wilson brothers you have that came from Ireland. All I have at this point in time for my Wilson line in Ohio is Jacob Wilson Sr., b. about 1751 in VA and d. November 11, 1813 in Greene County, OH. He married Mary Fritz who d. October 15, 1827 in Greene County, OH. I THINK their children were: John (who married Sarah Lemon and later moved to Putnam County, Russell Township, IN), Jacob Jr. (who married Ann Newell), Rachel, Eleanor, Valentine, William, Michael, Jeremiah, Isaac, Mary "Polly" Wilson (who married a Lee, first name unknown), Elizabeth, James, Daniel and Catharine (who also married a Lee, first name unknown). Please bear in mind that this is all speculation on my part and I do not have any primary source information (at least not yet). However, I did find this on the internet: "JACOB WILSON. The first authentic information I have been able to gather of this family is that of Jacob Wilson, an Irishman, who had married a German wife. In the year 1790, he left the South Branch of' the Potomac River, in Virginia. not far from Harper's Ferry, and emigrated to Kentucky, to what is now the county of Clark. In the year 1802, after having lived twelve years in Kentucky. he came to Ohio, and settled on the head-waters of Beaver Creek, Bath Township, and county of Greene, near the present site of the village of Fairfield. Jacob Wilson was the father of thirteen children, or of twelve, as some of the friends believe. Their names were as follows, although probably not in the order of their births: Jacob,William, Michael, John, James, Valentine, Jeremiah, Isaac, Daniel, Mary, Eleanor, Elizabeth and Rachel. Some of the friends think there was not one of the name of Rachel (information provided by William Morrow Beach, M. D.)" Best regards, Rob
