In 1870, he is also residing in Winchester, but is married to "Fannie", and has two children. In 1880, he is in Stonewall Twsp, still married to Fanny, with 6 children. In 1880 and in 1885 (In Frederick Co), he has other children, while still married to Fanny. Is there a marriage book published for Frederick Co that covers about 1866? If not, is there anyone who lives in Winchester, that would go to the Courthouse and check for a marriage between Franklin Henry and Frances Unknown about 1866, and also a marriage after 1885, between Frances Unknown Henry and a Mr. Jeffries.

So I am guessing at this point he was born c1753. His son John mentioned in his will born c1780's. Listed on the 1850 Frederick Co. VA census: John A. Bush age 46 years born VA Mary A. Bush age 50 years born VA They were living in Winchester, VA and members of the Baker family living around them. The query wanted to know where she could obtain their marriage bond. I answered her question directly. If they were married in Winchester, VA then my guess is that the bond is missing. I have a lot of ancestors' marriage bond missing. I believe we have posting some information about the Bush family on my cousin's Michael L. McKay web page. Other have missed up the surnames BUCK with BUSH. Good luck with your research.
There was no marriage listed in Rockingham or in Shenandoah counties either for John A. Bush. Cathy
