Christina was a daughter of Jacob Lockmiller and Catherine Wisert. Jacob was the youngest son of Jurig Lohmueller [George Lockmiller] and Catherina ________. George was born in 1714 in Freiburg, Germany and migrated to America. He arrived in Philedelphia Sept. 5, 1738, on the English ship, Winter Galley. He was in a group of Germans who arrived in the part of Frederick Co., VA that is now Shenandoah Co. He established a farm there and had about ten children, the youngest of whom was Jacob. Jacob inherited the farm at George's death in 1788. I have quite a bit more information about Jacob, including a copy of his will. I will send more info to your e-mail address if you want it. VA. Found in will book 19, 160, is the account of the estate sales of Margaret Davis (widow of Wm. Davis) dated 29 Jan 1826, probated 9 Mar 1826, names of slaves: Old Molly, Emily & child, Richard, Reuben, David, Gabriel, Samuel, NELSON (purchased by Andrew Chunn), Robert, John, Patrick & wife & child, Mariah & Harry & Judy. I thought the first name began with a "N". There are other head of households bearing the surname Davis that owned slaves.
