Someone asked who Turner Creek was named for. I was just reading in the History of Franklin Co that it was named for Roger Turner, one of the early settlers.
Rebecca Did the book mention relationship of James Turner living next to him? Settlers Map has Roger (1746). Do we know father of Roger Turner? Other Turners on Settler's Map Franklin County Va are John (1746), John (no Date), Joseph (1778) all about what looks to less than 10 miles of each. South West corner of Franklin County Va. glp --- rebecca.dyer@cox.net wrote: > Someone asked who Turner Creek was named for.
