John "Jack" Wyatt "Doll" Brown b. 8/14/1853 in Franklin County, son of Wyatt and Jamima Hatcher Brown. Died: 11/27/1930 in North Carolina. He married 1st Laura Frances Payne on 2/6/1884 in Franklin County,Va. His Marriage License reads: John W. Brown, Census record for 1860 calls him Wyatt, 1870 Census calls him Doll. The Family Bible calls him Jack Wyatt Brown. It is common for John to be called Jack. 1885 Gills Creek, Franklin Co.,Va. School Census list him as John W. Brown.
