Don; I use the Rules Wizard in MS Outlook to automatically sort my email into folders. I've got a folder for each list I belong to. So all emails going to an address with VAFRANKL-L on the To line goes into a folder called VA Franklin Co. Some of my folders for very remote surnames I only read once every 2-3 weeks and delete most of it based on the Subject line. It lets me focus on one surname or county at a time - particularly helpful when I'm involved in a threaded discussion... I also have the Wizard sort the rest of my known mail for me. Virtually the only thing left in my in box is spam which I can quickly delete by reviewing Subject lines... By the way I vote for the list name in the subject line, too, but it's not as critical for me. Hope this helps (let the PC work for you) Jim Bartlett, Gaithersburg, MD jimbartlett@mindspring.com -----Original Message----- From: Don L. Almost all of the other rootsweb lists do that. It makes it faster to know what to open or delete. Thanks Don L. Fox DonFox@cybertrails.com ==== VAFRANKL Mailing List ==== Franklin Co., Va.
