Donna, I did a little work on the Stegalls last year because one of the daughters of William Moore and Lucretia Callis Moore (Wm's will was probated in 1806) was married to an Allen Stegall. I think his family of Stegalls came from Lunenburg County, as did the Moores. The Moores moved to Franklin Co from Lunenburg in the first decade of the 19th century. I think Lucy Moore was already married to Allen Stegall by that time. Anyway that's what little I know. Hope it helps. Karen Worley
