Can anyone tell me about a skirmish or battle called Kecaughtin during the Civil War? I did read about a fight that took place at Kecaughtin, VA., one day after his letter was written to his wife. I sincerely would like to find this article. The man John Dillard Howell wrote the letter in July 1862 and he died on the 18th of July 1862, near Richmond. Is it possible that the name of the battle is known. Thank you Marheinek@aol.com
