I saw your above post and checked into my files. I was at a brick wall with my Edward ROBINSON/ROBERTSON b. 1770-1780 m. Mary COGAR in Franklin Co., VA in 1804. Then, I came across Edward and Mary at FamilySearch.com. I'm very leary about "stuff on the internet". There was a woman who submitted several generations of Edward and his ancestors. I wrote to her and she forwarded me her research with sources. Seemed to me like she really did her homework. According to her findings, John ROBERTSON'S wife was Elizabeth -?-. There son, Edward was my gggg grandfather. George would be Edward's brother. I do not know where George went, but Edward and his wife Mary COGAR settled in Braxton Co., (W)VA. He died there about 1836. John ROBERTSON was the s/o Thomas ROBINSON and Jane Magdaline LEGRAND. Thomas ROBINSON was the s/o John ROBINSON and Tabitha JONES. I have her information here, but have really not had time to really read it to make sense of it. She has this line back to England. I will be on vacation and won't be able to check email regularly, but get in touch with me and see what we can do. Remind me, because sometimes I get sooo much email I can not catch up with it all in a timely manner. I look forward to hearing from you.
