I am new to the list and am hoping to find some info on the family of my ggrandmother Roxie Danna Adams Carter b 1898 in Franklin Co (my grandfather says in Ferrum). Here father was Franklin Carter s/o John Quincy Carter and Betsy Ann Hale, and here mother was Sarah Lewis Adams d/o (in old family records I found data that listed her mother as either Louise Young or Sally Rakes) and her father was an unknown Adams. Roxie married Thomas Jefferson Cochran in 1912 in Eckman, Mcdowell Co, WVa. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
