I'm researching the family genology of: Virginia Crawford born Dec ?? 1853 in Russell County, VA to Charles and Chloe Crawford Virginia married Pleasant Stevens June 17, 1868 in Russell County, VA Pleasant was the son of Owens Stevens and Esther Virginia Proffit Owen and Esther were married August 19, 1835 in Franklin County, VA my great grandparents Virginia and Pleasant had at least 10 children and lived in Tazewell, VA my grandmother Cora Mae Stevens was born April 8, 1891 to Virginia and Pleasant in Tazewell * some of the names I know are Cosby, John, Charlie, Tom, Alice (White), Lindy, Rosie (Lambert) and Cora * Cora Mae Stevens married Robert David Huffman Jan 1, 1912 and lived at McComas WV * Cora Mae and Robery had 9 children * boys: Troy, Glen, Albert, Ray, Luther * girls: Thelma (Mitchum), Elsie (Bailey), Helen (Spicer), Margaret (Davis) * my mother is Helen Huffman who married Bill Spicer of McComas WV 1946 * Helen had 2 children me Patricia born 1946 and William Jr (Mickey born 1949) at McComas, WV I've been told that Virginia was Cherokee Indian.
