Very good tip from Ancestry --------------- TRY TRACING UNREADABLE FILM I was trying to transcribe a marriage register from a blurry microfilm image containing information on my g-g-grandfather. I was especially interested in his mother's name, but I could not see it clearly enough to even guess at the name. I tried placing my research notebook under the blurry image and traced it with a pen for future reference. When I moved it into the light, it clearly read "Gaines." I was surprised and delighted! Cathy Wood San Diego, CA Editor's Note: If you use a piece of colored paper, especially yellow, in place of the notebook, you may find the image easier to read as well. For microfilm readers with the images on a screen, a yellow-tinted, clear plastic sheet will help.
