Very good tip from Ancestry --------------- TRY TRACING UNREADABLE FILM I was trying to transcribe a marriage register from a blurry microfilm image containing information on my g-g-grandfather. I was especially interested in his mother's name, but I could not see it clearly enough to even guess at the name. I tried placing my research notebook under the blurry image and traced it with a pen for future reference. When I moved it into the light, it clearly read "Gaines." I was surprised and delighted!
