Hello Donna, We visited with you this summer from New Mexico and with cousins from Georgia and understood that the house the society was in was up for sale and you might have to move. Where will you keep all the material, books, etc that have been donated? Will we still get out newsletter and I feel sure the books will be sent out when published. Surely there should be enough interest in the County itself to try to find a place for a historical society to further the interests of the County. There are more and more people getting into genealogy and this is good for tourist trade--maybe you should push this with the County and City of Rocky Mount, as well as with the Chamber of Commerce. Does the Chamber have a room you can use until something comes up--or maybe they would want to expand and include a historical room? Keep us informed as I am sure you will, and GOOD LUCK!!!
