I've heard from Franklin Co. that Henry Hopkins and Bev Merritt are nearing completion on an edition of the 1880 Franklin Co. VA census. Index is done and final proofing of manuscript is underway....a total of 570 pages (88 page index). Bev says there are a lot of names that are virtual duplicates, as I have been appreciating for a time now, and that it might alter some people's research perspectives, and even their data. She's wondering how much interest there might be in copies to determine a print run. I think she monitors this list (?) so I'll put my hat in the ring and say "I want one", whatever the cost.
