<<I found two references in census records for Franklin County which I haven't been able to locate on a map..... #1 from the 1860 census -- Retreat Post Office #2 from the 1870 census -- OMaggodee (or Maggodee) Township>> Chris, I haven't seen Retreat Post Office yet so can't help there. Maggodee TWP was what looks to be the North Western corner of Franklin Co. in the 1870 Census. Bordered by Bonbrook on the East, Rocky Mount in the South East, and BlackWater in the South. Maggodee TWP had a total population of 1,879 people enumerated in the 1870 Census.
