Lunenburg County VA Land Patents include 3 to Shadrach Turner: 8/10/1759. 104 acres south side Butterham Town Creek 8/10/1759. 400 acres north side Pig River 8/10/1759. 152 acres both sides Great Cherrystone Creek, adjoining Richard Parsons, Noel Burton. The patents can be found and viewed on the LVA web. Those would have been granted by George III I suppose. I didn't look up the water courses, but Lunenburg was the main parent of Bedford County etc. I'd be on the look out for evidence of two generations of Shadrach Turners just to be broad minded. I also saw a Meshach Turner in an early Lunenburg Court Order Book. That reminded me of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego Hale/Hail who lived in Bedford in the early days. Bill, Fairport
