According to the book, ABSTRACTS OF THE EIGHTEEN CENTURY DEED BOOKS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY, VIRGINIA, Vol I & Vol II by Sara M. Beck, Daniel Hixon bought land on the waters of Otter Creek from John Smith, deed dated April 6, 1789. Daniel Hixon was my gggggggrandfather, his daughter, Ruth Hickson/Hixon m. Daniel Smith, who also owned land on Otter Creek. Deeds in above book show that Daniel Smith and Daniel Hixon's land adjoined each other's. I have very little info on Daniel Hixon, where did he immigrate to Franklin County from? Who did he marry or the names of any of his descendants? Would appreciate any info provided. Also, I saw the above books in the Franklin County library a couple of years ago, does anyone know if they are available for purchase. I can't remember if it was a very recent publication or an old one. I was able to copy some pages but would love to have the books. Bev
