    3. Barbara et al, I was wondering if anyone in this group has any information about the HalesFord store and post office. My Great Grandfather John William Wright Turner was postmaster from 1915-1919 and owned the store prior to the turn of the century. I saw an article in the Feb 2005 "The Times of Franklin" that referenced correspondences postmarked "Hails Ford, Franklin County" and Asa Holland (of the Holland-Duncan House). I am also wondering how old the Halesford store is. It is currently called Halesford Antiques, I believe. It was last run as a country store by Lowrey DeLong from the mid 1950's to the late 1970's. Also, I was wondering how to find out about the Holland Duncan House. I know it was built after the Civil War, but what year? by whom? My understanding is that it was built by some builders that built three homes in the area over a six year period. The other two homes are Pine Forest (for John Daniel Robertson) and a home across from Booker T Washington NM that burned down years ago and I believe is referred to as the Ferguson home. All three homes were made of brick produced on-site according to my source. Any additional info. anyone has would be appreciated. VRYs, Charles D Robertson __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
