    3. In the 1840's, there was a Brethren (Church of the Brethren is the modern Dunkard church) preacher named John Bowman who served many different churches. You have to keep in mind preachers weren't usually stationed at one church in those days. This John served some at what is now called the Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren (close to Bonbrook). It is probably a misstep to say he served in the Bonbrook area - he in fact served all over the place in Southern Franklin County. Other facts - he could speak both German and English fluently.     2. To Andy Doss, Would there be baptism records for this church or any other Brethren churches specifically 'Dunkard' with records going back to mid 1860's? What is your Doss line? Email soon.
