Any information either family would be appreciated. ______________________________ Brenda, In response to your query, my records list the following: In Bedford County Court Order Book 18/45 dated October 1820 Anthony Wright was appointed guardian of Margaret, Sally, Stephen, and Judith Darby, orphans of James Darby of Botetourt County who died in service during the War of 1812. The will of James Asbury dated Feb 13, 1827, and probated Sep 24, 1827, at Bedford County W.B. 6/426 listed one of his children as Sally Darby. On Feb 19, 1829, at Bedford County D.B. 21/346 Berry Corley, alias Berry Findley, and his wife Rhoda Corley and Stephen Darby and his wife Sally Darby sold to Isaac James all of their interest in the estate of James Asbury and also all of their interest in their grandfather Wright's estate. The grandfather referred to was 1803 (year of death) John Wright of Bedford County (place of death). Hope this is of help to you.
