My wife is a researcher of the Teal/Teele/Teel surname. In "Nothing But Glory -- Pickett's Division at Gettysburg," by Kathy Georg Harrison & John W. Busey, there is mention of a Josiah W. Teel in Company "B" of the 24th VA Voluntary Regiment. His info is as follows: Teel, Josiah W.: The company initially reports him as missing in action and subsequently as "supposed killed" but there are no Federal records concerning him; killed. Company "B" was organized at Gogginsville & Rocky Mount, Franklin County, VA 25 April 1861. Are there any researchers of the Teel/Teele/Teal surname that could identify Josiah W. Teel?
