Kay: In "Nothing But Glory -- Pickett's Division at Gettysburg," I found the following listing under Company F, AKA "Henry & Pittsylvania Rifles," 57th VA Volunteer Infantry Regiment: "Hodges, Richard S. (4th Sgt): Enl 17 April 1862 at Fort Dillard, North Carolina; shot in the right thigh and shoulder, left hip, and right hand, and captured; treated at U.S. VI Corps Hospital; exchanged from DeCamp Hospital 27 September 1863." I do not find Hiram Harvey Hodges or David Franklin Hodges listed. It is quite possible that I'm related to the Harry Dillon Peters if he hailed from the Floyd or Franklin County areas of VA. I'll check to see what I can find out. Do you know who his parents were? I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Mike Peters npeters102@aol.com
