His listing is as follows: Preston, Edward T.: (19) farmer; shot in the left foot; the ball lodging in the arch. Company K of the 18th VA Voluntary Infantry Regiment was "organized prior to February 1861, this company enlisted 24 April 1861 at Charlotte Courthouse, Charlotte County, VA for one year; was mustered into service 24 April 1861; and was reorganized 26 April 1862."
