Hello all, I have been following your discussion on why FC people moved to MO. I am a Hall (Hezicaih and America line) and can trace my roots back to the 1750's (or so we think). What is funny about this is in 2000 I moved from Franklin CO. to Missouri. Why did I move? At the time land was $400 to $800 per acre for farm land. Land in FC and surronding areas at the time was $2500 to $10,000 per acre. Now the funniest part is I moved out for chaep land and ended up buying only 3 1/2 acres. I have since became ill and had to move to the city. (Springfield MO). For those poeple who live in FC, moving out here was like going back in time 20 years. The town we lived in was small. Everybody new everybody. The Sheriff knew everybody by their 1st name. Pretty amazing. We like it out here but we miss home also. John Hall
