Dan, Just to let you know, I am a descendant of the Josiah > Joel > Booker > Henry S. Hodges line. My grandmother, Lee Emma Hodges Hogan, was the youngest child of Henry S, and Mary (Wray) Hodges. Mary (Wray) Hodges was the daughter of Jonas and Elsabeth (Angle) Wray and the granddaughter of Benjamin A. Wray (b. 1757/Rev. War soldier) and his second wife, Patsy Goode. I don't have any information yet on Patsy Goode's family. Information on Josiah and Joel was originally obtained--through my subscription to this list--from Bob Hodges, the list expert on the Hodges lines in Franklin County VA. I would love to learn more about the Goode family. I am also the great granddaughter of Virginia Catherine (Stanley) Hogan who married my great grandfather John Henry Hogan in 1876 in the Montvale area of Bedford County. She was the oldest child of John N. and Martha (Fisher) Stanley of Bedford Co. I believe one of her brothers lived in Franklin County, and two others lived in Roanoke County. Carol Lee Hogan Otto Va.
