    3. Hi, Doris, Our Confederate ancestors may have served together and known each other. This is what I have on his service: "Teamster with 45th Rgt., C.S.A., Co. F. Enlisted 29 May 1861, Wytheville, VA, 12 mos. by Col. H. Heth. Wounded in action, Battle of Winchester, 19 Sep 1864. Died 6 Days later in U.S.A. Field Hospital." This information was taken from the Muster cards at the National Archives. In which outfit did your fellow serve? Franklin County sent several companies to the war.
