I am looking for any information concerning the GOODWIN family living in Franklin Co VA through the 1830's, and migrating to Tennessee. Listed below is what I have thus far. John Goodwin was married to Sarah Hall. They resided in Franklin Co.VA in 1841, according to letters that I have copies of dated in the year 1841. The only child I know of was:Robert Goodwin who married Susan Mildred Hodges. They were my GGG Grandparents. They resided in Overton Co.TN after 1840. I also am wondering if this Sarah Hall is any relation to Sussannah Hall, who married Robert Hodges, and resided in Franklin Co., VA through the 1850's. It seems odd that a woman's maiden name would be the same as her mother's maiden name, but I understand that if they were distant cousins it would be possible.
