Hi Betty, Thanks so much for answering my query. Your info is similar to what I have but I can't understand why in the 1850 Franklin co census there are no children listed in their household. I can't find Ann and John in the 1860 census. The only John Sigmon I find in Kanawha Co in 1860 is the one with wife Emma. Do you know when John and Ann arrived in Kanawha Co.? Are there any land records available for them that would give a time period? It could solve the question as to who the Ann and John Sigmon are in the 1850 Franklin Co. census. I do have some info that says John and Ann had a son who m. an Emma but the ones in the census are much older than a son of John and Ann. That John Sigmon has his birth year as 1818. Is it a possibility that Ann also went by Emma? I didn't have the burial place for Ann, thank you for that information. I would appreciate any information that you have that you would be willing to share with me regarding John and Ann's children. Ann's sister, Martha Hancock Underwood went to Monroe Co. at the same time as their half-brother, Reuben, and their mother, Frances. After Martha died her husband and children, with the exception of one, are found in Kanawha Co. The lone one went to Fayette Co and lived near Reuben and his children's families. I hope to hear back from you, as I am trying to get Ann's family in my Family tree. Thanks again, Bev
