I don't know who he married prior to his marriage to Sarah M. Grubs (again choose your spelling) on July 19, 1814 in Frederick Co., VA probably Middletown twnsp. In fact I can't guarantee he was married prior to her. However, since he was 27 to her 17 I find it very likely. If anyone has a copy of the book or access to early 1800's marriage records from around 1804-1814 if you could look for John and his wives and tell me what all the record says I'd greatly appreciate it.
