Beverly, I have the originals and Gertrude Mann published them years ago in the Franklin News Post. Hoped they made it in the book. William Turner (a descendent of the original Shadrach Turner) wrote a letter to his wife and another to his parents. He described his headquarters around Petersburg and his thoughts.
