Re: my posting of 3/4/02; just in case INNES researchers might have a clue to the father of Owen HUNT, here's an excerpt from the will of Col. Hugh Innes of Franklin Co. written 1790, proved 1797. "To Sarah TURLEY, during her natural life - the use of my Negro girl Mira, & at her death, she and her increase to return to my estate, to be divided as my former Negroes are or were. I also give Sarah a cow and calf, a sow & pigs, a horse worth 15 £, and provision to last for 1 year after she leaves this house, at the discretion of my executors." (Sarah is mentioned elsewhere) Col. Innes' will was witnessed by Owen Hunt. I think Sarah (Innes) Turley was the wife of Peter Turley of Henry Co. who made his will in 1782, & named his wife Sarah and son-in-law Owen Hunt. The excerpt from Col. Innes' will suggests to me that his daughter Sarah Turley was widow of Peter; that she lived in her father's home in 1790. Col.. Innes didn't mention any Turley grandchildren. Maybe somebody who knows about INNES & TURLEY, also knows about Owen HUNT?? I can hope, can't I ? Bill, Fairport
