( : ****** From the notes kept faithfully from 17 Oct 1895 until about 1906 ***** "The Christian Church of Mt. Ivy, Franklin County, VA was organized on Thursday, October 17, 1895. On Sunday the 15th day of October 1895, a Series of meetings were begun at Mt. Ivy by Bro A. F. Ramsey assisted by Bros. A.A. Ferguson of Lynchburg, VA and Chas L. Anthony of Kaseys, VA. The meeting continued for 6 days. On Thursday the 17th a church was organized with 24 members. 13 of who had been members of the Gills Creek Christian Church, Franklin Co, VA. 2 of the Milligan Christian Church, Milligan Tenn. 1 of Liberty M.E. Church, Franklin Co, 1 of Epworth M.E. Church, Franklin Co and 7 of whom had been baptized on the 30th day of Sept, 1895 by Bro A.F. Ramsey.
