Smith Mountain Lake was built in the late 1960's. The land that covered my grandfather's tobacco farm was called Scrugg's, Virginia, I think it was covered by 1969-1970. If I come across any Association called Smith Mountain Lake, I will be happy to post any info I find. Many of the names you mentioned are familiar names. The Vernon Lynch I knew was, Dr. Vernon Lynch, rasied in Rocky Mount, Virginia and was killed in a car accident approximately 12-15 years ago. More later............................
