Linda Jo, Thanks for the info. It confirms what I've already been told by Sandy Graley. Nancy's eldest child, James B. Graley (not Terry, as you can see in the census of 1850) was not by John Terry, which explains his surname being Graley. There is a marriage in Montgomery Co. which we believe is him (though I believe his middle initial is different in the marriage record--R instead of B; and, if I remember correctly(without getting out my records), his first name is given as Jamie), and his parents are listed as Nancy Graley and William Trail (her uncle, it would seem). Hmmmmm. Looks interesting. It seems to be Nancy's son. So, John Terry married her when she already had a child. I have not dug into the Floyd record, though. Thanks for the feedback. Charles
