    3. I stand corrected on the first name being Martel... In my humble opinion the tombstone is way more important than correcting me about the spelling of the name. especially since I quoted the newspaper... Here are a few details from notes I have Martel LeSueur "Rev. War Pension File #W8035. File list his spouse and children, He was born in Cumberland Co., VA. then enlisted in Powhatan Co., Va. later moved to Charlotte Co.,Va then moved to Henry Co.,VA, then to Patrick Co.,VA then to Grayson Co.,VA then to Franklin Co.,Va where he applied for his pension on 8-31-1832 , he stated he had lived in Franklin Co.,Va for 18 years. In 1776 He enlisted in the Rev. War, served as private under Captain George Markam, Thomas Harris, Robert Hughes, Edward Mumford and Obediah Smith in Lighthorse , until 1781." - Notes from Ellie LeSueur Daisley Rena Worthen doreatr@rbnet.com http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~renaworthen/
