    3. I am also searching for Renfros/Rentfroes. My Millie was born to "one of the 3 Rentfro brothers at Rentfro Station on the Red River". I have eliminated Moses and one of the James as her father. My Millie married Moses Shelby and moved to Kentucky. They lived in Livingston Co until 1812, when they moved to New Madrid, MO. A John Rentfro posted bond for their son's marriage in KY in 1821. I have thought he was the son of Joseph and Olive Rentfro. Joseph was killed by indians around 1780, and Olive later showed up in Livingston Co, KY, living near this John, who died in KY. But another researcher shows their son John living and dying in Tenn. I have tried to chart out a huge family tree, but there are so many with the same name, it's hard to keep them straight. 3. Notes: The Red River This area was at one time in Kentucky and in 1828 The Walker Line was drawn up between these two State. Folks that were once Kentuckians found them selves in Tennessee and Folks who were Tennesseans found them selves Kentuckians. and this was not their choose, as the Federal Government redrew the State lines. To even add more problems the Territory of Ohio also claimed the Drainage of the Tennessee River as being in Ohio before Statehood. Then over in Eastern Kentucky you have to deal with the Lost State of Franklin as it claimed the lands of Eastern Tennessee and Kentucky and parts of Current Day West Virginia.
