Diane, My Turpins were with the Rentfros at Red River. My Susannah was the daughter of Soloman Turpin. Some think he married a Renfro. They were on the flotilla. They ended up in Madison Co. KY along with Champion Turpin who later married Susannah. I suppose they were cousins. Renfros were in Madison Co. also. A James Turpin had land in Franklin Co. near the Renfros. He was on the trip also but I believe he went with Robertson by land. Moses Renfro's second wife was a Turpin. I have house guests. Will get back to you both soon.
