Marla, Yes, both Robert and Susannah will's were found on a microfilm FHL#31487 Wills of Franklin Virginia. It appears that Robert made his will in 1834 and died about 1837. At that time Suannah Martin made her will and it was probated in 1841. At the time it was probated, her sister Sarah Mcquire was also deceased and her share went to her children. I noticed on the tax list of Franklin County that two Robert's were listed. One the son of Hugh, which you believe to be this Robert. The other was the son of James, who I believe married Susannah Ray (I have seen it as Wray) on Feb. 13, 1798. I have found nothing further on this family. but I am hoping that this may be the Susie I am looking for. I know for sure that Mary had two sisters at least, Deliah and Betsy. Both Roberts seem to be grandchildren of John Martin Sr. I also found a John Martin that married Susannah Joetz 1 Apr 1782 in Pittsylvania Co. Virginia. Is this the same John Martin? There was also an Isham Martin that married Susannah Covington in Pittsylvania 15 Dec 1789. There were also two William Martin that married Susannah's , but I found their children and none fit.
