Okay this is what I have found out so far.Hezekiah Martin and Matthew Martin were seen on the Nelson Co.VA census records in Nelson Co.VA 1810.Jesse Martin was seen on the Amherst Tax records late 17 hundreds.Hezekiah Martin and his father Jesse Martin moved to Ogelthorple ,Ga.Billie Lewis thinks that Hezekiah and Matthew were brothers as Matthew Martin named one of his sons Hezekiah Martin in Franklin Co.VA.Jesse Martin left a will in Ga.naming Hezekiah as his son.He also mentions leaving money to other heirs but the will does not mention who the other heirs were.Jesse Martin was born about 1750.Matthew Martin being born abt 1773,Billie Lewis mentions that Matthew Martins son Hezekiah does not know who Matthew Martins parents were.As he reported the death.If it can be proved that Hezekiah Martin and Matthew Martin were brothers then Jesse Martin who died in Ga would be the father of Matthew Martin.Any help would be greatly appreciated.As I stated before Joseph Jerrald/Jarrell aged 21 seen on the 1850 census record in Franklin Co.VA.with wife Elizabeth believe she was Elizabeth Martin next door to them is John Jerrald/Jarrell aged also 21 wife Anney Martin as they were married in Floyd Co.VA 1848 Elizabeth and Anney Martin were the daughters of Matthew Martin born 1773 he married Edith Staton.Now Joseph Jarrells children Samuel Jarrell married Martha Underwood ,his son Dennis Jarrell married Ellender Underwood,his daughter Lucinda Jarrell married Noah Underwood Martha ,Noah ,and Ellender were all the sons and daughters of Samuel Underwood and Rebecca Hollins/Holland.So you can understand why I would like so much to have more info on the Martin family to tie it all in.Thanks in Advance for any help given.Gloria ps Joseph Jarrell had an America Jarrell age abt 9 living with him and Elizabeth on the 1850 census record in Franklin Co.VA I can find absolutely nothing on her as she is not seen on the 1860 census record with them.I did find a Civil War pension on Joseph Jarrold Elizabeth Jarrold filed for it in 1889 she was living in Floyd Co.VA.Joseph died in 1863 in the Civil War.and on the 1870 census Elizabeth Jarrell is a widow then on the 1880 census in Franklin Co.VA Elizabeth and children are living right beside Hezekiah Martin son of Matthew Martin. ~Wehali Usdi~<Look not at the Eyes but at the Soul> ----- Original Message ----- From: "m.moore1 " <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, June 12, 2005 6:37 AM Subject: Re: [VAFRANKL] Hudson Martin Nelson Co .VA > > Thank you, Gloria.
