    3. Hi Sara, Unfortunately there are no old papers for Franklin County for that time period, unless someone, somewhere might have a stray copy. The only papers we have on microfilm begin about the 1940s. The Library of Virginia has a newspaper project and you might contact them to see if they have one for that time. If he was murdered there should be something in the court records about that.
