Jonathan Peters was born 23 April 1827 in Franklin County, VA & died sometime after 1900 in probably Raleigh County, WVa. I have found 3 marriages for Jonathan Peters listed in Raleigh County Marriage records transcribed by Pauline Haga. They are as follows: * 10 June 1852 to Catherine Dickens * 6 February 1896 to Spicy Catherine Vealey * 27 June 1899 to Sarah Margaret Pittman According to a Dickens Family history book written by Justin Kirk Dickens, Jonathan Peters also married one Margie Laverty. No wedding date is given. The 1900 Raleigh County Census has the following household in the Marsh Fork District: 312 Jonathan Peters born April 1827 73 years old Mary born April 1827 73 years old Is Sarah Margaret Pittman actually "Margie" Laverty? Was her marriage to Jonathan Peters her 2nd & was her maiden name Laverty? Is she also the Mary in 1900 Raleigh County Census data? Can anyone clarify this dilemma for me?
