Michelle; Using your estimate of Peter Young's birth as ca 1785, I looked at the 1787 Personal Property Tax Lists for Franklin Co. to see who was there. One Peter Young is listed as well as 6 other Young males plus one Agness Young, most likely a widow. Peter Young appears 5 times in Franklin Co. Will Book 1, plus 15 other people named Young. Campbell Co. was cut off from Bedford in 1782, but there were no Young on Pers. Prop. list for 1787. In Bedford Co. Index to Wills is listed a James Young w/probate date of 25 May 1778. 1778 was before Franklin was created from Bedford and before your estimated birth date for your Peter Young, but you might want to check out the will of James as he might have been an early progenitor of one line of Youngs in the area. Maybe you'll spot some famiiar names. The Circuit Court in Bedford charges .50 cents per page to copy. Hope this helps. W. M.
