Thank you for your work doing this timeline. It does shed some new light in the area. Are the numbers in front of each name the year the land was purchased? Kathy researching Hodges, Warren In a message dated 12/29/2007 5:35:19 A.M. Mountain Standard Time, marlam.1@bresnan.net writes: The following information is based primarily on the 1782 Henry County Personal Property Tax List, which is not alphabetized in this section. The names on the time line (below) are land owners, in order along the road. Some names presented below, such as Calloway and Waggoner, were land owners, but not residents, of Chestnut Creek. I have presented this information in hopes of determining possible marriages that are not known to be recorded in Henry or Franklin Counties. Perhaps it may also help in the formation of a map. Kathy, it's come to my attention that I've missed one--that Robert Woods had a land grant on Chestnut Creek in 1771. I've also felt, that in doing the lists, that I must be missing some grants or else deeds, of the Warrens on Chestnut Creek before 1800. I'd like to hear more about the Warren family. Do you have anything here that might help? Thanks for your trouble, Kathy. (I'm thinking that maybe Robert Mason had some connection to the Warrens.)
