    1. Re: [VAFRANKL] Residents of Chestnut Creek
    2. You may be able to find your land grants for Mason's on the Library of VA website. at: iva.lib.va put the www. in front. I didn't do that because my computer kept making it a link. I didn't know if the web address would go through. Once you get to the main page click on "what we have" then click on "land records" then click on "VA land office patents..." have fun with this site. Kathy In a message dated 12/29/2007 4:32:40 P.M. I haven't found the deed where Robert Mason bought his land on Chestnut Creek, bef. 1774. But, maybe that's when Thomas Warren left Lunenburg, too. Another interesting fact is that in the 1820 Lawrence Co. TN Census, there is a Robert, Warren and Nathaniel Mason. None of the Mason researchers that I've contacted know where they came from. We'd sure would like the answer to that puzzle! Marla ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The SECOND Sunday in each month will set aside for a "Brick Wall" Roll Call.
