Looking for any records which may be in a family Bible owned by George Spangler who died in Franklin Co., VA about 1794. Inventory of his estate dated Feb. 1794 shows 2 Bibles and 1 Testament. George, as son of Daniel and Mary, Spangler married on February 9, 1786 at Franklin County, Virginia to Mary Elizabeth Langdon daughter of John D. Langdon. They had three children: (1) Nancy, (2) Phoebe (3) George and (4) Mary (Poly ?). Mary Elizabeth Spangler, George's widdow, married (2) Wm. Hawkins prior to May 8, 1799. Daughter Nancy married John Martin and moved to Baldwin, Georgia. John Martin was born 1776 in Virginia and died Baldwin, Georgia. Nothing more is known of Phoebe and George Daughter Mary (Poly ?) Spangler married Allen Jarrett October 17, 1805. Allen Jarrett born abt 1770, Lunenburg County, VA son of Adda "Addy" Jarrett Sr. and Martha Allen. Jack Spangler Ellicott City, MD
