    3. Hi, Teresa, Would any of the RICHARDSes in that line have been named Simpson RICHARDS? My Simpson "appeared" in Floyd CoVA and married Nancy VEST November 1, 1832. I guesstimate that he was born around 1804, but where I don't know. Edward Richards was one of the earliest settlers on Chestnut Creek. And is this Ambrose Richards a Richards or Richardson? I have a Richard Richards who served in 1779 in Cpt. Daniel Carlin`s Militia, Henry CO VA. The BURRUS, HEAD and CAVE families moved to nearby Upper Surry CO NC. One Jacob BURRUS lived in Henry CO VA, see 1782 tax list, near the end.
