    3. I don `t know Marla. You figure there is an Edward on the 1750 and 1752 tithables, had to be 16 or over to be taxed. Everyone has his date of birth as abt 1738-1740, but what do they really have for proof? I know he was having kids by 1760 with Elizabeth Stewart, unless he had a prior wife that died. He died abt 1812 right? I noticed another early settler on Chestnut Creek was John Ramsey, plus there was the Hodges family there. By 1753 Edward would be on the Halifax poll lists. I´ll check the Voters of Burgess for Halifax Co as see if he was there. Teresa "m.moore1 " <[email protected]> wrote: Well, Teresa, that mixes things up a bit, doesn't it? Looks like we need to do more research there in Lunenburg Co.--Marla On Thu, 14 Jul 2005 17:21:45 -0700 (PDT) teresa stuart wrote: > Marla, have you taken a look at the 1750 and 1752 Lunenburg tithables ? > There is a Benjamin Richards with an Edward Richards in the same household >for both years. > See :http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/va/lunenburg/census/sun004.txt > Teresa > > > "m.moore1 " wrote: > Teresa, due to the following deed, YES, I think Joseph could be the father >of > Edward Richards of Henry/Franklin Counties, VA.
