Someone asked who Turner Creek was named for. I was just reading in the History of Franklin Co that it was named for Roger Turner, one of the early settlers.
I have some information on a Samuel Good that was in Franklin Co., Virginia in 1810 according to the Census. He died about 1811. His wife was Hannah. Would this be the same Samuel Good? Diane Jjg331@wmconnect.com wrote: I am looking for information about a Samuel Good-- a son of Theobold (David) Good. Samuel is listed as dying in 1824 in Franklin co. VA. If anyone would be interested please get in touch with me at beverlym@swva.net. It's really not a lot of work and very interesting. It will be available through October and if no one will take it over, then it will be taken off the internet. I really hate that but there's nothing else I can do right now.
